Form
and Dispersion 1997
Transparent quality (glass finished) of the acrylic sculpture
integrally linked to the surrounding buildings and create a
cooling atmosphere along the lake site. The transparent nonagon
tower will act as prism and disperse range of spectrum color
and reflections from the sites. During night transmission of
color from the fibre optic will create a sense of calm and tranquility
effect, harmonizing the glowing lights from surrounding buildings.
Metaphorically, the idea of the sculpture derived from many
facets of references, unified together with contemporary elements
to create simple and unique monument. The artist intentionally
set the series of sculptures to face the kiblat. Islamic geometry
is part of the design concept of the Twin Towers. |
